18-22 Grand Cherokee Start/Stop Eliminator

The Auto Start/Stop system is simple. It automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is at rest (but not in park) to cut fuel use and eliminate idle emissions. It then restarts the engine automatically when the driver lifts off the brake to get going again.

Note: This is sometimes confused with the Auto Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) feature on many vehicles. The idle shutdown system shuts off a vehicle that is idling while parked after 30 minutes.

It simply remembers when you turn the auto start/stop feature on or off and works to retain your preference automatically. This device eliminates the need to push the button to disable auto start/stop feature every time you get in the vehicle. Unlike other technologies, the Start/Stop Eliminator doesn't affect or change any of your vehicle's programming. Nor does this device change the emissions output of a vehicle. The Start/Stop Eliminator ONLY provides the user the ability to either keep the start/stop feature on or off without the feature resetting after each ignition cycle. If the device is removed, the vehicle will go back to stock behavior.

START/STOP ELIMINATOR VS. THE CLEAN AIR ACT. The Clean Air Act deals directly with the emissions and fuel aspect of air pollution. There are set laws and enforcements to ensure all standards are met throughout the nation. The Start/Stop Eliminator technology does not override any programming nor does it change the emissions output on the vehicle. It only "presses the button" for the user each key cycle if that was the preferred state. The Start/Stop Eliminator device is fully compliant with the Clean Air Act under the provisions of the EPA's Tampering Policy.

Installation

Simply insert between factory wire harness and the 8 pin plug at the gateway module below the glove box on the passenger side - simply remove the felt cover below the glove box.

"Will the start/stop eliminator work on my vehicle?" Yes. The start/stop eliminator had been tested on on all the models and years listed.
"Does the start/stop eliminator cause any issues?" No. The start/stop eliminator does not cause any issues.
"Will the start/stop eliminator void my warranty?" No. The start/stop eliminator will not void your vehicle warranty.
"Will the dealer know I used the start/stop eliminator on my vehicle after I unplug it?" No. The start/stop eliminator makes ABSOLUTELY NO changes to your vehicle.
"I plugged in the start/stop eliminator and I don't see any changes - is it working?" Yes! The start/stop eliminator simply remembers if you want the auto start/stop system turned on or off.
"Can I use the start/stop eliminator in another compatible vehicle?" Although the start/stop eliminator does not "lock" to a vehicle, it MUST remain plugged in to work. Multiple vehicles WILL require multiple eliminators.
"What if I want to occasionally turn the auto start/stop system back on?" Simply use the auto start/stop button on your dash like normal.
