Powder coated internal supports tie into the bed frame, giving the Ascent Truck Cap a 240 lbs. dynamic weight rating and a static weight rating between 770 lbs. and 880 lbs. Engineered specifically for the 4th gen Tacoma, the frame kit helps to stiffen the bed, whilst transferring weight down on to the frame, helping to avoid added stresses to composite bed of the Tacoma.
