If you want lights in your truck cap, they give you everything that you need! It’s literally perfect!

I have the three 40” light bars and they are more than sufficient to light up the back of my Colorado bed (with the SmartCap). In fact one of the 40” bars lights the bed up well for most needs. The lights and cabling seem to be high quality. However the lights are in no way ruggedized. If you give them a good whack with a board or some other hard material while you are loading/unloading your bed they are likely to break. They are all mounted to the cap with double stick tape. I’m worried about this as a solution over time but it’s held for now (maybe it won’t be a problem). The cables and connectors are designed from good quality automotive components. However the cabling seems to be designed for an F450 with 8’ bed. I haven’t counted the extra feet of cable I have left over but it’s somewhere in the 12’-15’ range. In fact in two cases I didn’t need any extra length from the cables (meaning I didn’t even need them but I had to use them because the male/female connections couldn’t be made without the all male cables). That is way too much cabling to try to wrap up and stow away so I’m looking at buying my own parts to make some custom cables that eliminate the extra length. The kit should be sold with at least two options: one for a small truck and one for a full sized truck. The 40” light bar for the rear of the truck doesn’t have a good mounting option with my setup. I solved this by making a custom bracket so I could mount it to the top of the rear window. This way when I open the window the light actually comes outside of the bed and I can rotate it to point out to the rear of the truck. I like the product but it could use some tweaks to address some of these nits.
