I had been looking forward to finding the best set of lights to fill the openings in my New Raptor’s bumper. I studied up on the forums, watched all of the videos I could on YouTube and determined that Baja Designs were the best quality lights I could get that simulated daylight as best as possible without causing fatigue. Then I researched the many brackets that were out there and the resource that helped the most was the Off-road Alliance vide that compared the available brackets out there. That made me realize that I wanted a bracket that was stainless steel since I live in Michigan and we love to salt the roads here and I am not a fan of rust. I also wanted adjustability and I’m not really a fan of the “bezel” style brackets since it appears that it blocks more of the light on the sides than the open brackets. So I reached out to off-road alliance on the raptor forum and told them what purpose I would employ these lights here in Michigan (deer on county roads, snow and rain) and they suggested an Amber SAE fog light, clear pro wide cornering and clear pro driving combos. They fit my needs perfectly. The install
Was pretty straight forward except I did have 2 issues. I installed the brackets that came with each Baja designs light backwards so when I mounted the lights they were too far back in the bumper. I removed them the next day and flipped the brackets and that did the trick (maybe update the instructions to save others some time?). Also the large washers that were sent with the bracket kit were too large for me to use them with the farthest forward slot closest to the front of the vehicle. It turns out that I didn’t really need to use that slot for 2 of the 3 pairs of lights. These lights are now installed properly and I love them. It was an expensive purchase for me but I am so glad that I made the purchase and that I purchased from offroad alliance. They threw in some stickers that I’ll proudly display on my truck. I’m looking forward to many more mods that I’ll purchase from off-road alliance and review as my budget allows. Thinking Geiser and Deevers are next!
