Every door and panel on the SmartCap EVOd Defender is built out of stainless steel to hide and protect your cargo from would-be thieves – significantly reducing the ole smash and grab. Whatever the road or job site throws its way, the EVOd is built to take it. Forged from strong automotive-grade stainless steel, the EVOd Defender holds up to 330 lbs. when moving and a whopping 770 lbs. when parked. SmartCap's 5-piece design includes an innovative sealing method that when properly installed makes the EVOd weatherproof, come hell or high water. For easy access to the bed, the Gullwing Door openings are approximately 17% taller than most fiberglass caps – making it easier to access your cargo. The SmartCap EVOd also features the Positive Pressure Air Vent that filters fresh air into the cap at a greater velocity than the enclosed bed is capable of sucking air in. This keeps road dust outside, rather than all over your stuff. Sleekly designed into the top of the SmartCap, the integrated Roof Rails allow you to utilize other SmartCap Components for mounting rooftop tents, bikes, kayaks, ladders – you name it. Plus, if you already own a rack system, no problem. SmartCap is universally designed to mount just about anything. And let's not forget the real attention grabber, the high-mounted third brake light – you never know, there might be a Zebra Crossing ahead.

Fitment Compatibility & Requirements

RamBox Compatibility: SmartCap EVO Series is NOT compatible with the RamBox Cargo Management System.

2015-2022 Colorado/Canyon Compatibility: Chevy/GMC CarbonPro Beds require fitment adjustments. SmartCap EVO Series truck caps are not compatible with 15-22 Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon trucks equipped with the factory Rear Window Defroster option. This option protrudes rearward, causing the EVO Series cap to sit further back than designed.

2022+ Tundra Requirements: The 2022+ Tundra requires Bed Stiffeners to be installed for ALL bed rail mounted accessories. Offroad Alliance offers a few bed stiffeners options, CBI Offroad Bed Stiffener Brackets or Rago Fabrication Bed Channel Stiffeners.

2024 Ranger Requirements: It is a requirement from Ford that any 2024 Next Gen Ranger produced ON or BEFORE 09/19/2024 with accessories extending above the bedrails, and weighing in excess of 88 lbs., be fitted with Load Box Reinforcement Brackets (aka J-Braces).
